Each year a ‘mob match’ is held between Istead & Ifield Harriers, Gravesend Roadrunners and Larkfield AC.  This year’s event, hosted by Gravesend Road Runners, took place on 11th July.

Nearly 100 runners from the 3 clubs took part in a 5 mile run from Nurstead Court, with points awarded in age categories up to age 70 (although the oldest competitor was 80 years old!).  This year, Istead & Ifield excelled in both quality and quantity, with 6 runners in the first 10 and the greatest number of competitors. Not surprisingly they were the outright winners but other clubs had some noteworthy results, with Gravesend’s Annabelle Stearns taking 5th place overall and Larkfield’s Nicola Susans bagging the 8th spot.

A very enjoyable evening was topped off with drinks and a buffet supper kindly supplied by Gravesend Road Runners.
