As usual, Istead runners took part in both the Kent Fitness and the Kent League cross-country series in the 2025/26 season.
The most popular series for Istead runners is the Kent Fitness League where 46 different members completed at least one event, with an average of around 24 runner for each of the 7 events.
Istead finished 12th out of 18 teams with both the Men’s and Ladies’ teams coming in 13th.
Once again Istead hosted the challenging KFL event at Allhallows, with an amended route which proved popular.
There was also a new event at Mote Park Maidstone which possibly pipped Allhallows to the post as the muddiest course of the season!
In the Kent League Istead had 10 runners across the 4 events.
Istead also took part in the KCCA Veteran championships where the Women’s team finished 2nd and the Men’s 3rd.
10 runners braved very cold conditions at the Kent County Championships at Brands Hatch while just 3 participated in the Southern Counties Cross Country event.
