Each winter Istead & Ifield Harriers compete in two cross-country leagues – Kent Fitness and Kent League, both consisting of a series of events between October and February.
The programme of events for 2023/2024 is as follows:
Kent Fitness League
This consists of 7 races, each around 5-6 miles, taking place on Sunday mornings, and typically attracting a field of over 400 runners.
12th November - Swanley Park, New Barn Road Swanley 19th November - Oxleas Wood, Eltham 26th November - Knole Park Sevenoaks 7th January - Minnis Bay, Birchington 14th January - Betteshanger Park, Deal 4th February - Haven Allhallows Holiday Park, ME3 9QD 25th February - Blean Woods Rough Common, Canterbury
Kent League XC series
There are 6 races (including Vets and County Championships), again around 5-6 miles. They are held on Saturdays with separate female and male race times and tend to attract a faster field.
14th October - Foots Cray Meadows - all age groups 28th October - Somerhill School, Tonbridge - all age groups 11th November - Danson ark, Bexleyheath - Senior men, M70, W65d and Juniors 25th November - Swanley Park, BR8 7PW d- Senior Women, M70, W65 and Juniors 10th February - Norman Park, Bromley - Senor Men and Senior Women only 2nd December - Kent County Veterans Cross Country Championship - Masters Championships, Dartford 6th January - Kent County Cross Country Championships,Main Championships, Brands Hatch
Please note that if you want to take part in Cross Country, you will need to wear a club vest.
